Tea for Yogis


I don't know anyone who doesn't like tea. There are so many choices, and everyone loves something different. We can choose from decaffeinated to herbal, and then there is loose tea versus tea bags and even powders.


Tea has been around for thousands of years and is deeply embedded in our cultures and history. There are so many benefits and so much to learn about tea, let's take a look.


Teas for energy:

Oolong

Reduced risk of heart disease, boosts metabolism and helps with weight management

Black

Remedy for blood sugar problem, weight loss, headache, diarrhea.

Mint

promotes digestion, relieves spasms of the respiratory and digestive tracts

Green

Best for bloating, ease pain, allergies, acne, weight loss.


Teas for calming:

Chamomile

relax the mind and body, promote sleep and relieve anxiety and irritability

Lavender

relaxing, promotes stress relief, anti-inflammatory, calming before sleep

Jasmine

helps with stress, anti-aging, weight loss and detoxification.

White

helps with stress, anti-aging, weight loss and detoxification.
